From balancing a hardcore IT career to nurturing the passion of being an author, screenwriter and content specialist, Moitrayee Bhaduri has done it all with all heart and soul. Her first book, The Sinister Silence (2015), which introduced the feisty private detective Mili Ray, is an edge-of-the-seat murder mystery. Mili Ray’s journey continued in Who Killed the Murderer (2019), where the ex-supercop reigned in solving a high-profile murder. The next in line, Moitrayee’s mini-thriller series on Inspector K.P. Singh (2020–21) has been optioned for screen adaptation even before the first story got published. Her latest novel Trinoyoni (2022) takes you on a tour of Colonial Calcutta through the alleys of the sex trade and crime tracing the journey of India’s first known serial killer.
A student of History with her Bachelor’s degree from Loreto College and Masters from Jadavpur University, a busy IT professional, and now a seasoned author, Moitrayee loves reading crime thrillers as much as she relishes writing them. A dog-lover and coffee addict, she enjoys singing and solving crosswords too.
